I hadn't heard of this term before, but so true! I remember briefly having gone on a couple of dates with this guy, and then I definitely felt "the ick" after noticing his overgrown toenails protruding from his sandals on our second date. (Mind you, this was a guy who had his eyebrows professionally done.) People not having basic hygience/grooming skills is such a turn-off! (But in a way, also a red flag!)
