I identify as a highly sensitive person. I’ve learned that it’s ok to be highly sensitive, but at the same time how to better regulate my emotions. I’ve learned not to take people’s emotions and behaviors personally, and having a level of detachment helps, even though I remain very sensitive to people’s moods, energies, and troubles.
