I’m not asking men to go all out. I’m not saying that a simple first date isn’t good, either. I’m just saying that men should put some effort into meeting at a spot that is conducive to fostering a romantic connection, if that is what you are seeking, rather than a coffee shop, which is more geared for working and productivity. I have a clear sense of my energy, I’ve worked hard to get to where I am, and thoughtful gestures and plans are reflections that my date values me and our possible connection. Men complain about the difficulty of getting dates with women or of swiping on apps but often are trying to just find women to take home and sleep with them. What I am suggesting to men is to raise the vibration, show some effort and practice a degree of courtship, and your romantic gestures and consideration will likely reflect mindfulness and generosity and help increase the likelihood of more successful dates. Dating should help us connect beyond the superficial and help raise each other energetically.
