The question I have is where to submit my personal essays for paid publication. Blogging is helping to increase my following and engagement, but I still have made very little profit from it yet financially. I do think blogging and self-publishing is good to establish a portfolio and get your work out there, but marketing your work is a lot of the important work if your stories are not picked up by the algorithm.
