This article made me hungry!! Ha. Interestingly, though I am an advocate of home-cooked meals, particularly for the health and affordability factors, but also so I have more control over customization and so forth, I’ve come to rely more on already prepared foods. I’ve relied on a mix of meal delivery services, prepared foods from supermarkets, and meals from restaurants since the last few years of being a single mom out of convenience. I think this is a big reason why so many people don’t do much cooking for themselves: we are meant to live in community, and if we are only making food for ourselves, there may be less inspiration and motivation to cook. I think living in community really helps nurture the drive for home cooking, as sharing freshly cooked meals is one of life’s sweeter pleasures.
